Historically a transmitter, La Tour now expands its role to become a place of reception.
By opening La Tour to the city and its people, the Foundation is bringing together a diverse ecosystem of actors under one roof.
The ambition is to reaffirm La Tour’s place at the heart of Geneva - not only as an urban landmark, but also as an accessible civic space designed to strengthen our shared points of reference.
An architecture conceived as a living ecosystem
The reimagined layout of La Tour includes zones designed to welcome residents from multiple horizons, engaged in diverse areas of work, reflection, and innovation, as well as spaces dedicated to coexistence, open to entities and projects aligned with the Foundation’s pillars of action.
Alongside these zones are places of conviviality and connection, such as a green space, a café and a restaurant open to the neighborhood, brought to life by local actors, cultural and community events.
Together, these form a living, open ecosystem where functions intersect and enrich one another.
The Foundation's spaces
From September 2026, the Foundation will make available a set of emblematic spaces within La Tour, including the 16th floor with its remarkable view of Geneva and an iconic cinema hall.
These spaces will offer a unique setting for organizing events, moments of reflection and dialogue, in support of the ecosystem's actors and the projects working in service of democratic integrity.
A transformation in motion
The transformation of La Tour and its buildings will unfold in successive phases from autumn 2026, never fully closing the site, as to maintain constant activity throughout the process.
Its public opening is planned for September 2027, though it will ocasionally host specific ecosystem events as early as 2026. Envisioned as a flexible and evolving process, the transformation will unfold alongside the projects and communities that bring La Tour to life.
