Fondation La Tour en Communs is creating a dynamic space in Geneva dedicated to quality information and innovating forms of its diffusion, in service of democratic integrity.
Faced with fragmenting information systems, polarizing narratives and the erosion of social cohesion, the Foundation reimagines La Tour, one of Geneva's landmark buildings, and orchestrates an ecosystem of complementary actors to rethink, experiment and share new practices that foster democratic debate.
More than a building, La Tour becomes a common space where the Foundation brings together residents from diverse fields - including media, research, culture, civic engagement, and philanthropy - and creates the conditions for this ecosystem to generate collective responses.
Historically a transmitter, La Tour now expands its role to become an open place that welcomes, receives and connects. Through a social, cultural and technological transformation, the Foundation aims to make La Tour an international reference point for rethinking the relationship between information, society and democracy.

The Foundation’s mission is structured around three complementary pillars
Elaboration
The Foundation brings together residents from diverse fields to rethink the future of information. It supports independent projects and civic initiatives that encourage new interdisciplinary approaches, particularly around the impact of information and philanthropic funding models.
Destination
To counter individualization and cultivate encounters across diverse social experiences, the Foundation opens La Tour to the public as an inclusive, intergenerational space with an accessible ground floor, lively outdoor areas, a café and restaurant and a program of civic and cultural events.
Diffusion
To rebuild shared narratives, the Foundation embraces La Tour’s architecture as a medium for artistic dialogue.
Through projections, installations and creative interventions, the building becomes a living space for expression, while its exterior acts as a dynamic interface with the city.
